An Ode to Autumn
Recently my blog has been lacking in seasonal appeal, it seems it's autumn although I refuse to acknowledge the passing time, I'm clinging onto a closing summer.
The shops in Dublin are already full of Christmas decorations, which doesn't amuse me at all. Children have not returned to school or college and the retailers have us braced for Christmas.
But autumn has arrived with a chill in the air and the streets are lined with falling leaves that are several shades of gold. It's a beautiful sight as children and dogs plough through the leaves with absolute abandon. As light changes and we must brace ourselves for winter. it's not all bad mind you, there's nothing quite like the warm light and chilly wind to guide us into winter.
