Headboard Ideas

I've blogged about headboards before and shared some ideas on unusual and quirky headboards. Now the truth is not everyone likes quirky, some people like to stick to the more traditional headboards, but just because it's traditional doesn't mean it has to be boring.

Over the years I've bough some pretty amazing headboards and I've had some commissioned, I've even designed a couple myself. Again not everyone has the budget or the imagination to create a headboard that they want.

My secret, an upholsterer. Find your local upholsterer and tell him what you like and he'll sit down with you and draw it up and suggest fabrics. Not all upholsterers will agree to let you bring your own fabric, but if he does there are some great deals to be found online.
